Studio Policy

Piano lessons are generally delivered 30-min sessions , 45-min sessions, or  60-min session based on individual student's need monthly.

Tuition fees are due on the first lesson of the month, and should cover the entire month.

Parents are responsible for purchasing students’ books and learning material as required by the teacher. The parents have the option of either purchase material themselves, or authorize the teacher to purchase the material. If the parents choose the latter option, the teacher has to inform the parents in advance. The teacher may not be able to provide a separate receipt, however, the prices of the books are usually on the back of the book, and the cost of the book with tax needs to be reimbursed immediately upon delivery of the material.

Lessons missed due to student’s illness and family emergency only may be made up at the teacher’s discretion during the upcoming week, subject to the time available in that week. However, tuition fees for that missed session will not be refunded. Lesson missed by the teacher will be made up at no cost. *

* If a vacation has been planned ahead of time, parents will not be responsible for the tuition during that period. 

It is highly recommended that the student should video tape their lessons once they reach an intermediate level. By video-taping the lessons, the student will be able to review all the key elements of the class and be able to fix mistakes, improve character of the music, and remember the tempo of the piece much better. In addition, by reviewing their own playing, the children can understand better what physical approach is ideal for the music.
